About IGNITE:

IGNITE is a non-denominational, evangelical Christian para-church ministry on the campus of Texas A&M committed to growing in the grace and knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ through passionate worship of Him, careful study of His word, and consistent relationship with Him.

As an on-campus community of believers committed to local fellowships, we pray that God would give us grace to live lives of grateful obedience and willing sacrifice, serving those around us as unto the Lord and uniting our hearts in devotion and adoration of the man Jesus.

As members of various churches across the city, we pray God would bring us together, uniting us in His love and using us as vessels of service to each other, the community, and the world.

Our organization consists of one weekly worship meeting on Monday Nights @ All-Faith's Chapel, open to anyone to come and go as they please. We seek to have an organic fellowship, where we sing, pray, read scripture, and ask the Lord to guide us by His spirit in true freedom during our service. Normally, we follow with an interactive discussion in the Word of God. There are no formal members of the organization, but we seek to be a community of people who love Jesus and the knowledge of Him and His ways through His Word.

IGNITE is led by Directors Ryan and his wife Jenny Couch, and Daniel Foster. We are currently in our 7th year on the campus of Texas A&M.

About Deeper Waters 2006:

As IGNITE, we realize that there is no single organization that God is using here in the Brazos Valley, nor do we desire to promote solely an organization, or a conference, but a person, Jesus the Christ. In fact, it is our desire and even our calling to be a ministry that draws people from different backgrounds and denominations to worship King Jesus together in Spirit and Truth out of a desire to see "all things one in Christ." One of our theme verses is "If I be lifted up, I will draw all men to myself." We desire to see all men, from every tribe and tongue, drawn to the Lord Jesus, who alone is salvation.

The Deeper Waters conference will be held November 17-18, 2006 on the campus of Texas A&M at the All-Faith's Chapel. This is the 5th annual conference, with past speakers being David Smithers and David Ravenhill ministering. We believe that God is calling us to hold this event on campus, energizing the meetings to be accessible, free of cost, and deep in prayer to see God move on this campus for His glory.

We are pleased to have Corey Russell, a senior leader at the International House of Prayer in Kansas City, MO and instructor at the Forerunner School of Ministry coming to minister the Word to us! Corey has a deep heart for the church to "wake-up" to its identity in God and its' destiny in the last days of the earth. Corey believes we must surrender our own ideas and agendas and return to the "ancient paths" spoken of by Jeremiah. He is desperate for a generation of people that will lay down their lives to take hold of God's heart for the most crucial hour of human history.

Corey teaches "Biblical Foundations of Forerunner Ministry", "The Eternal Glory of the Intercessor", and "Jeremiah: The Weeping Prophet" at the School of Ministry at IHOP and also travels with the OneThing Ministry team led by Dwayne Roberts.

Corey speaks with raw passion and sincere devotion to the man Jesus, and calls us to become a "forerunner" generation, a corporate John the Baptist, who prepare the way for the Lord's return through a life of intimacy, prayer and fasting, and deep revelation of the Word. Although he can be fiery, Corey is also very practical in how young, ordinary men and women can go after God.

As David Smithers amazingly shared last year on the historical distinctives and heart of Revival and its' history in the earth, we believe it is God's timing to bring in Corey to talk about raising up this generation to walk out the future purposes of God in the earth. Corey has asked that Youth, College, and Young Adult leaders all around the surrounding area would come to the conference to be equipped and fed in Jesus.

We are praying that God would release a corporate message for the body of Christ in the area, and on campus, and that we would have tender hearts and set faces to respond to God in humility and grace.

Please join with us in prayer that God would breathe His Holy Spirit on us as we seek His face, that a deep hunger and thirst would be placed within us. We need a desperate cry to emerge on the campus for something more, something greater, something only God can do as we His people call out to Him in faith.

Although we believe and desire God's fullness for the weekend, we recognize that this is merely one part of what God wants to do on a larger scale. Therefore, as a spin off of our organizational name, we pray that God will use DW2006 to start a spark or "Ignite" a passion in people's hearts for Him and His desires. By the word of God and the flame of the Holy Spirit, below are 7 "ignitions" that we will be praying God will spark at DW2006 in whomever the Lord may bring.

7 Desired "IGNITIONS" of IGNITE Ministries and Deeper Water 2006

IGNITE a genuine, radical love for the real Jesus, out of the revelation of His great love for us in the giving of His son, the ultimate expression of love from the Father and the fullness of what we are called to be like as the people of God. Worship that is pure, free, non-self seeking, bringing a revelation of our identity as the Bride of Christ, and promoting the name and fame of Christ alone.

IGNITE a desire for the unity of the brethren locally, birthed not out of doctrinal compromise or uniformity, but of Christ's own desire and purpose in the church for all things to be summed up in Christ. While it is recognized that genuine differences exist and may need rectification by one means or another, a deep love for Jesus, His Word, and all people is the basis for which all truth may be imparted.

IGNITE a clear, biblical understanding of the "signs of the times", the season and generation into which we've been born to live, and how the Church, the nation of Israel, and all nations play a distinct yet intertwined role in God to "prepare the way" for the second-coming (through the purification of the bride of Christ, the salvation of Israel, and the gospel proclaimed to the four corners of the earth) of our Lord Jesus Christ to rule and reign from Jerusalem over all nations (Psalm 2) for a thousand year period.

IGNITE an understanding of the distinctives of revival; historically and biblically, so as to promote a vision of who God is and what He does for His glory alone through His Holy Spirit. With all the talk of revival, a clear and poignant message on what true revival is, can and will be in the days to come, and looks like in the earth.

IGNITE a sincere love for the Word of God not only as a theological treatise, but as the primary source of revelation of the man Jesus and the understanding of His ways. There has been attack in the area of the Word of God, but a clear call to return to the Holy-Spirit inspired, live-giving, church-building, salvation-bringing, Jesus-glorifying Word of the Lord.

IGNITE a greater consecration to seeking God campus-wide, to hear His voice and call on His name to bring repentance, salvation, and transformation of the area, even unto the nations of the earth as the sovereign Lord calls.

IGNITE a Holy Spirit-led network of connections between the local body of Christ and the national and international ministries that are expanding the cause and fame of Christ here and abroad, so that they may be continually equipped, challenged, and connected to what God is doing in all of the earth. We pray the God would lead every person according to His desire and will unto their obedience, Christ's glory, and their mutual pleasure and intimacy.
